My career as a newspaper journalist started way back in 1989 as an 18-year-old cub reporter before working my way up the ranks as an editor and award-winning page designer. I launched my freelance career in 2003 and have since become a sought-after lifestyle writer, PR consultant and social media manager, collaborating with prestigious brands like Harvey Nichols, Heaven Skincare, The Mailbox and Radisson SAS hotels. My passion for creating captivating, meaningful content has helped me earn an enviable reputation in the industry.
Beyond the corporate world, I’ve shared my expertise Business Communication courses for MBA and BSc programmes at The University of Birmingham, with young writers in primary schools as part of Birmingham’s Write On project, and through school workshops inspiring students to see writing as a powerful, rewarding career path. I work closely with PR agencies and individual clients, delivering polished, engaging copy for press releases, brochures, websites and blogs, and contribute regularly to respected lifestyle magazines in the region.
